Adaptive Ski Lessons @NAC

We believe that exploring the world drives curiosity and confidence in every child. Encouraging children with CP and related developmental delays to try new adventures and move their bodies in a fun and engaging way can grow skills, build relationships and foster inclusion.

“My daughter has been skiing since she was 5 years old because there are organizations providing adaptive equipment for kids with neuromuscular delays,” recalls WAWOS Founder, Jacquie Robison.

“There are so many nonprofits working hard to make recreational experiences a reality to otherly-abled children -- and some of them are working on a shoestring budget. We created WAWOS Wishes to support these nonprofits so more families can have greater access to these experiences.” .

Every year, beginning on Giving Tuesday, new grantees will be awarded financial support. Qualifying organizations must be registered 501(c) (3) and be actively operating in the United States for a minimum of two years. Final decisions are at the discretion of our board of directors.
