WAWOS Wear

Ready to move.

We believe that all children should be seen as the dynamic and exceptional beings they are. WAWOS Wear is a truly unique way for a child who uses assistive devices, to express their spirit and individuality.

Your tax-exempt donation of $20 buys the materials for each cape, and our wonderful community of volunteers sews them into finished designs. They come in large and small sizes with five velcro straps for easy attachment to different types of walker. Want to sew for WAWOS ?

WAWOS partners with pediatric rehab hospitals, clinics and other programs to provide free walker capes to children who use assistive devices.

The goal of this program is to enable children with developmental delays to be seen beyond their diagnosis, to get them out and moving and engaging with the world, and ultimately to shift the perception of disability.

"The thing I like about the walker cape is that it lets people know about my inside self instead of just seeing my outside self" - Sofia
