Pick a card, any card
Posted Nov 14, 2017 by Jacquie Robison
One of the ways I've found success in reinforcing exercises Sofia is working on in physical therapy is by putting together at-home activities for us to do together. I like to design games and put together projects that practice the new skill and help lock in the muscle memory.

There are occasions though (ok, there are many of them!), when I try to think of something creative and fun, but just come up empty.

For those times, I started gathering ideas from the internet that provide variety and are engaging for Sofia. I've printed them out and made a deck of cards, which I offer to my daughter and say 'pick a card, any card.' She loves that it's her choice, and I love that we have a ready-to-go batch of exercises.

Here are a few of our favorite resources:

Bingo: you can customize your own with fine motor or gross motor activities at www.myfreebingocards.com
